Description
The Amu Darya Sturgeon is a critically endangered freshwater fish native to the Amu Darya River basin in Central Asia. It is characterized by its elongated, shovel-like snout and rows of bony scutes along its body, indicative of its ancient lineage. Due to its large adult size and specialized environmental needs, this species is not suitable for typical home aquariums and is primarily found in conservation programs or very large, specialized public aquariums and ponds.
