Description
The Amphibian Lipsucker, also known as Stimpson's Goby, is a unique goby endemic to Hawaiian streams. These fish are renowned for their ability to climb waterfalls using a specialized sucker mouth and modified pectoral fins, allowing them to graze on algae and diatoms from rocks. They require highly oxygenated, fast-flowing freshwater environments with plenty of smooth rocks for grazing.
