Description
The Alligator Gar is one of the largest freshwater fish in North America, recognized by its distinctive alligator-like snout and large, diamond-shaped ganoid scales. These ancient, predatory fish are ambush hunters, capable of growing to immense sizes. They require extremely large, specialized aquariums or ponds due to their size and predatory nature.
