Description
The Alligator Gar is one of the largest freshwater fish in North America, known for its long, torpedo-shaped body, hard ganoid scales, and distinctive alligator-like snout. These ancient, predatory fish are apex predators in their natural habitat. Due to their immense size and specialized care requirements, they are only suitable for expert aquarists with very large, dedicated setups or public aquariums.
